Sylow's theorems are among the first theorems one learns in group theory. Their role is essential in the investigation of the structure of finite groups. Related to Sylow's theorems there are:

  1. many interesting proofs of different character;
  2. various genaralizations of the notion;
  3. many interesting questions concerning the set of Sylow subgroups of certain groups.

In my work I intend to learn more about these topics.
