Projekt leírás

The various notions of tensor rank are generalizations of the notion of matrix rank to higher dimensional tensors (multidimensional arrays). They are relevant for many topics ranging from statistics to geometric complexity theory, and their study uses tools from such fields of pure mathematics as representation theory or algebraic geometry. The aim of the project is to understand some key results, applications, and open problems related to tensor rank.
